ABOUT THE POSITION
We are seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to work as a member of our bridges & structures team in our Manchester, CT office.

The successful candidate will act as the lead structural engineer on multi-disciplinary bridge projects throughout southern New England. This professional will also have the opportunity to work on water control structures, buildings, and utility infrastructure. Technical responsibilities include: designing structural members and systems, preparing construction documents, and performing periodic site visits during design and construction phases.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a concentration in Structural Engineering
  • Ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of experience in structural engineering and design
  • Advanced skills in AutoCAD required; Microstation and Revit capabilities a plus!
  • Professional Engineering License (P.E.) required

Senior Structural Engineer

Spiegel Zamecnik & Shah Structural Engineers is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join the team in our downtown New Haven, CT office.  We provide structural engineering for the design of new buildings, additions and renovations, as well as evaluation, analysis, upgrade and repair of many types of buildings and other structures for institutional, industrial, private and public clients.

The Senior Engineer will work with our team members to perform structural analysis and design of buildings and components of other structures, preparation of structural drawings and written reports. The position includes some field work for investigation and analysis, observation or inspection, and will work with our senior staff to coordinate projects with other design team members and clients. Motivation, good communications skills and attention to detail is desired.

Requirements: Candidates for this for this Position shall have a BS or MS degree from an ABET accredited university in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering.  A U.S. PE or SE License with a minimum of 6 to 10 years of experience in Structural Engineering is required. The candidate shall be familiar with building construction, with interest and experience in assessment of existing structures. Proficiency with structural software including the Ram Structural System, Tekla, Bluebeam, and other specialty software, as well as fluency working with our cad staff in Revit and AutoCAD environment. Familiarity with IBC Building codes and design codes for steel, concrete, and other materials is required. U.S. Citizenship and passing a background check is required.

Structural Engineer

Project Engineer

Cirrus Structural Engineering: Our small and growing practice is seeking a Structural Principal or motivated Associate.

Our Structural Principal or motivated Associate will be a proactive leader who is capable of production-level design, site investigations, construction administration, communications, business development, and fee and scope development.  Our new team member has an established career in structural engineering and holds a Professional Engineering (PE) license.  We are seeking and analytical, creative, detail-oriented and forward-thinking engineer with excellent communication and writhing skills.
