Please join SEAConn for their Annual Holiday Party with a presentation given by Beth Acly of Cirrius Engineering and Chad Vogt of E2 Engineers on the Collapse of the 1st Congregational Church in New London, CT.
Mr. Vogt will conduct and interview with Ms. Acly regarding the ongoing investigation into the collapse of the 1st Congregational Church in New London, CT, which occurred in January, 2024. During this interview, attendees will gain insights into the techniques and method used to investigate historical structures. The discussion will cover materials and methods used in historical masonry and heavy timber construction, as well as the potential collapse mechanics of such buildings. Attendees will also have the opportunity to ask questions to both Ms. Acly and Mr. Voft during the session.
The party and presentation will be hosted at the New Haven Lawn Club located at 193 Whitney Ave, New Haven, CT on Wednesday December 4th at 5:30pm .
