Join us Wednesday, February 11, 2026 at Lorenzo's Ristorante Italiano in West Haven for a discussion led by Bill Lyons of Euclid Chemical Company on the provisions and nuances of ACI 305 - Hot Weather Protection of Concrete and ACI 306 - Cold Weather Protection of Concrete.
This presentation will highlight the differences in preparation for Cold Weather Concreting (ACI 306) and Hot Weather Concreting (ACI 305) including the potential problems associated with placing concrete in extreme temperatures. He will discuss the principles and practices that should be in place to allow for successful hot and cold weather concreting. Additionally, the discussion will include the sometimes overlooked Hot and Cold Weather Concrete plans as well as the Pre-Concrete Conference. Bill is a Fellow in ACI, former chair ACI 306 “Cold Weather Concreting” & ACI Convention Committee and Hot Topic Committees. Bill is the 2018 recipient of the National Chapter Activities Award for his long-time dedication to the advancement of the goals to the ACI chapters. He is a past President of several ACI chapters including New Jersey, NYC, and Washington, D.C. Bill is currently on four American Concrete Institute committees and three Precast Concrete Institute Committees.
