Join us Thursday, May 28, 2026 at Lorenzo's Ristorante Italiano in West Haven for a discussion led by Tom DiBlasi of DiBlasi Associates, P.C. on the upcoming changes to the Connecticut State Building Code.
A new Connecticut State Building Code is scheduled to be adopted this summer, and it will be based on the 2024 I-Codes. This presentation will highlight changes to the Connecticut-specific structural amendments, and it will also provide an overview of significant changes to the IBC, IEBC, and ASCE 7-22.
Tom is President of DiBlasi Associates, P.C., and has been practicing structural engineering for over 40 years. He is the structural engineering representative to the CT Codes and Standards Committee, and he is co-chair of SEAConn’s Code Advisory Committee as well as a past President. He is the past chair of NCSEA’s Code Advisory Committee, and he continues to serve of the Wind Engineering Subcommittee of that group. He is also a current director of the Applied Technology Council.
The meeting will be hosted at Lorenzo's Ristorante Italiano located at 39 Elm Street in West Haven, CT 06516 on Thursday May 28th, from 5:30 pm to 9pm.
