Join us Wednesday, September 16th, 2026 at Lorenzo's Ristorante Italiano in West Haven for a presentation of "Engineers At Ground Zero" and a panel discussion afterwards lead by Vicki Arbitrio of Gilsanz Murray Steficek – Engineers and Architects.

Engineers at Ground Zero is a powerful documentary produced by the Structural Engineers Association of New York (SEAoNY), capturing the extraordinary efforts of structural engineers in the aftermath of the September 11th attacks. This film highlights the critical role engineers played in the emergency response, recovery, and stabilization of Ground Zero—a testament to the technical expertise, leadership, and resilience that define our profession.

Following the film, we will host a discussion with several members of our engineering community who were directly involved with the second-responder efforts in the aftermath of 9/11. These individuals will be sharing their experiences with the recovery efforts.

We graciously thank Simpson Strong-Tie, represented by Derek Gilbert, for their sponsorship of this event.

The meeting will be hosted at Lorenzo's Ristorante Italiano located at 39 Elm Street in West Haven, CT 06516 on Wednesday September 16th from 5:30 pm to 9pm.

Cost of attendance is for SEAConn Members is $45.00.

Nonmember price is $55.00.
